Today is Palm Sunday and it is also the Feast of Purim. Palm Sunday celebrates the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and Purim celebrates the Jewish deliverance from extermination at the time of Esther. Today is a day of celebration and in keeping with the Purim tradition we will be reading the book of Esther out loud in the service.
