We are going to be looking at the characters and the circumstances that God used to instill courage in His people. Each week is a different story about how someone overcame impossible odds and what we can learn from it. A few are actually stories of defeat, but they can still be courageous stories if we will learn from them.
Joshua and the Israelites are at a stage in their conquest where seemingly everything that the enemy has left is going to be unleashed against them all at once. Victory is going to look and feel impossible.
And it is impossible without God. This is when they need to realize that they can not depend on their own power to overcome. All they can do is align themselves with God. Because His plan and purpose will ultimately prevail.
