Corinth is the model for the Spirit-filled church. The two spiritual realities - the heavenly and the earthly reality were constantly clashing in Corinth. This series, the Spirit-filled church, seeks to answer the question, “What is the Spirit-filled church filled with?”
Chaos and order is a theme that goes all the way back to creation. Here we have a dark, watery wasteland - essentially chaos - and against this backdrop, we see the Spirit of God hovering, calmly moving amidst the chaos. That’s what the intersection of spiritual reality and our current reality looks like. As a Spirit-filled church, we need to not get caught up in the chaos. Where the Spirit is moving, there is order, meaning and beauty. You will need to become attuned to spiritual reality to see it.
